Sri Sathya Sai Schools

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi in Ambattur was established in the year 1966 for the noble cause of spiritual education and service activities.  In the year 1997, Swami’s devotee Sri V Jayaraman donated land for constructing the Sri Sathya Sai Social and Welfare Centre in which a Mandir was constructed.  All activities have been conducted here from March 2000.

In the year 2001, Sri V Jayaraman donated another piece of land opposite the Samithi premises along with another devotee Sri S R Ramaswamy Iyer, an industrialist from Adyar, Chennai who donated the land adjacent to this mandir.  On July 29, 2001, the Samithi Members went to Puttaparthi to obtain Swamy’s blessings to start service activities in the lands donated by the devotees.  During darshan time Swamy stood in front of the group and said in Telugu “Chinna Chinna Pillaluku School Kattandi’ (i.e, construct a school for small children)

With the divine blessings of our beloved Swamy and the guidance from the state president of the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organization, Tamil Nadu, the Sri Sathya Sai Nursery & Primary School was started on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami (October 5, 2003) in Ambattur.  Since then, we continue to provide value-based education for all students.

In Dec 2006, the Sri Sathya Sai Organization along with Sathya Sai Trust permitted to establish the Sri Sai Education Trust which would manage the day-to-day activities of the school.

Sri Sathya Sai Nursery and Primary School has developed and established itself over the years. Plans to expand classes till 10th is under discussion by the Management and with the blessings of our Dear Swamy we would execute it in the near future.

The school celebrates all religious and national festivals and lays a strong foundation for patriotism and acceptance to all religions.  It also integrates secular education with spiritual education, fostering character development and the practice of human values in daily life based on the teachings of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.  The culture and heritage of our country are embedded in the teachings of the school.
